Many vendors have entered the computer forensics market to fulfill the needs of law firms, law enforcement agencies, and businesses. The challenge many organizations now face is finding a forensic analyst who can quickly and clearly explain technical topics to non-experts, such as lawyers and juries.

While in-court testimony experience is valuable, a forensic expert’s opinion must first be clearly communicated to the lawyers trying the case so that they can take action in response to the analysis. Clear communication distinguishes Elysium Digital from our competitors. Our forensic analysts combine training and systematic analysis with exceptional communication skills to deliver results that can change the trajectory of a case.

Juries and judges are more likely to believe an expert who can teach them about a complex topic so that they arrive at the same opinion as the expert. Our elite and experienced forensics team has demonstrated these skills through testimony in Federal and state courts and at arbitrations.

For example, Elysium's Michael Perry testified in Massachusetts District Court in December 2012 in Sentient Jet LLC v. Mackenzie, et al. Mr. Perry's testimony focused on Elysium's analysis of thousands of files and over 500,000 email messages on multiple computers and devices used by employees who left Sentient Jet for a competitor. In the end, our client received a verdict awarding more than $600,000 in damages.

Earlier in 2012, both Mr. Perry and Jason Eaddy testified in Massachusetts District Court in U.S. v. Gladys Ihenacho, a criminal matter involving the illegal distribution of prescription drugs. Elysium worked with the U.S. Attorney’s Office to analyze hard drive images, databases, and web applications related to this illicit business. Our team performed hundreds of database queries which uncovered numerous incriminating statements in email and document records. Mr. Perry testified on the forensic basis for the admission of these documents into evidence, and Mr. Eaddy testified on the capabilities of the web application and the business conducted with it. With the assistance of Elysium’s testimony, the prosecution won a conviction.

Many companies in the forensic services market compete on price alone. While Elysium Digital is proud to offer cost-effective solutions, our true differentiator is how we tailor our analysis to a client's specific needs and clearly communicate the outcome of that analysis to deliver the most useful results.

So, when considering a computer forensics provider, clients are well served to look beyond just pricing. Finding a competent analyst is relatively easy, but finding a knowledgeable analyst who can present the results to you in a way that you can use is much harder.

Elysium Digital offers a full range of highly valued computer forensics services. For more information about how Elysium can assist you or your clients in a forensic matter, please contact us.
