GEOFF A. COHEN, Ph.D., Computer Scientist

Dr. Cohen received his Ph.D. in Computer Science, with a minor in Electrical Engineering, from Duke University. He also holds an A.B. from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. His areas of focus include program design, Java programming, programming methodology, bytecode analysis, and distributed systems. Prior to joining Elysium Digital, Dr. Cohen worked for IBM, Data General, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, and the National Academy of Sciences.



PETER J. CREATH, Co-Founder, Vice President

Mr. Creath has advised clients on more than 50 matters relating to intellectual property and computer technology. He has served as a consulting expert for the duration of multi-year patent litigation, providing technical analysis throughout trial. He has also submitted expert testimony in Federal Court. Mr. Creath's areas of focus include both high-level software design and low-level software analysis. Before co-founding Elysium Digital, he worked as a consultant for AT&T Laboratories, where he created tools for graphical analysis of web sites. He has many years of experience in object code analysis on all major platforms and a variety of architectures, and is co-inventor on two patents on systems for unlocking remote electronic data. Mr. Creath graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University with a B.S.E. in Computer Science. While there, his academic research focused on 3D simulation, cross-compiler back ends, and reverse engineering.



JASON H. EADDY, Computer Scientist

Mr. Eaddy has advised clients on more than 50 matters relating to computer forensics, electronic discovery, and intellectual property. He has submitted expert testimony in Federal Court. Mr. Eaddy's areas of focus include computer forensics, database analysis, e-mail software and formats, and electronic discovery consulting. Before joining Elysium Digital, Mr. Eaddy worked as a software engineer at Trilogy Software, where he was instrumental in launching their content service for the consumer electronics industry and developed a scheduling service for their primary e-commerce application. Prior to that, he created an account management system for Raymond James Financial. Mr. Eaddy graduated cum laude from Princeton University with an A.B. in Computer Science and magna cum laude with a J.D. from the New England School of Law.



EDWARD W. FELTEN, Ph.D., Consulting Computer Scientist

Professor Felten is currently Professor of Computer Science and Public Affairs at Princeton University and founding Director of Princeton's Center for Information Technology Policy. His research includes computer security and privacy, especially relating to media and consumer products, and technology law and policy. He has published more than seventy works, including two books. His research on topics such as web security, copyright and copy protection, and electronic voting has been covered extensively in the popular press. Professor Felten received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Washington with a dissertation entitled, "Protocol Compilation: High-Performance Communication for Parallel Programs," a M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Washington, and a B.S. in Physics, with Honors, from California Institute of Technology.

Professor Felten was the lead computer science expert witness for the Department of Justice in the Microsoft antitrust case, and has testified in other important lawsuits. He has testified before the Senate Commerce Committee on digital television technology and regulation, and before the House Administration Committee on electronic voting. In 2004, Scientific American magazine named him to its list of fifty worldwide science and technology leaders. He currently serves on the Board of Directors and Advisory Board of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and the Executive Committee of the ACM U.S. Public Policy Committee. He has received numerous honors and awards including the Mercury Seven Foundation Fellowship, the AT&T Ph.D. Foundation Fellowship, the NSF National Young Investigator award, the Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship, and the EFF Pioneer Award.



CHRISTIAN B. HICKS, Co-Founder, President

Mr. Hicks has advised clients on more than 50 matters relating to intellectual property and computer forensics. He has testified as an expert in Federal Court, submitted expert reports and affidavits, and has been deposed in several cases. Mr. Hicks' areas of focus include data mining, network protocols, source code analysis, artificial intelligence, and computer forensics. Before co-founding Elysium Digital, he worked as a consultant for the AT&T Consumer Lab, where he developed data mining techniques and researched Internet programs and protocols. He is co-inventor on two patents on systems for unlocking remote electronic data. Mr. Hicks graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University with an A.B. in Computer Science. While there, his academic research focused on artificial intelligence and earned him the Computer Science Senior Prize.



MARTIN D. KEMP, Computer Scientist

Mr. Kemp has advised clients on more than 30 matters relating to embedded computer systems, algorithmic analysis, and data extraction. His areas of focus include reverse engineering, embedded systems, computer architecture, and object-oriented software design. Before joining Elysium Digital, Mr. Kemp worked at Sun Microsystems, developing high-end server chipsets and diagnostic software. Mr. Kemp graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University with a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering, concentrating on Computer Systems and Signal & Image Processing.



MATTHEW L. LENA, Computer Scientist

Mr. Lena has extensive experience in software engineering at both the systems and applications levels. His areas of focus include database systems, legacy systems, statistical analysis, and integration, performance and reliability issues. Mr. Lena holds a B.A. in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Harvard University. Prior to joining Elysium Digital, he taught mathematics and statistics at Northeastern University.



PAUL J. MATTAL, Computer Scientist

Mr. Mattal graduated from Princeton University with an A.B. in Computer Science and a certificate in Music Performance in Conducting. His areas of focus include computer systems and network design, computer forensics, electronic production systems, data indexing and searching, and intellectual property. Mr. Mattal has done research on programming languages, memory management, and distributed network environments. Before joining Elysium Digital, Mr. Mattal worked at AT&T Research where he designed and implemented intelligent customer care systems. He later led the design and implementation of the back-end systems for a Blue Mountain Arts e-commerce venture.



STEVEN M. MELENDEZ, Computer Scientist

Mr. Melendez graduated from Harvard University magna cum laude with an A.B. in Computer Science. His areas of focus include computer systems and Internet and network programming. He has been involved in research on webcrawling and statistical analysis of political weblogs, as well as improved error messages for Standard ML compilers.



STEVEN G. SCHWARTZBERG, Computer Scientist

Mr. Schwartzberg received his Masters of Science in Computer Science from Tufts University. His area of focus is system administration, concentrating on the UNIX platform, backups, and system security. Mr. Schwartzberg has also done research into new methods of system administration, including the use of autonomic response to phenomena. For the ten years prior to joining Elysium, Mr. Schwartzberg worked at Cisco Systems, Narad Networks and BBN Technologies performing functions ranging from desktop support to managing an IT department.



JAKOB WAHLBERG, Computer Forensic Analyst

Mr. Wahlberg is a Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) with the International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners (ISFCE) as well as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE+I). Prior to joining Elysium Digital, he provided forensic and IT services as an independent consultant. Before that, he worked for Dragon Systems (later L&H, ScanSoft) where he focused on systems and multimedia engineering for advanced speech recognition technology. Mr. Wahlberg is also the co-inventor on several speech recognition patents.



DAVID K. WITTENBERG, Ph.D., Computer Scientist

Dr. Wittenberg received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Brandeis University. His areas of focus include steganography, computer security, cryptographic protocols, public key cryptography, and distributed systems. Prior to joining Elysium Digital, Dr. Wittenberg worked for Digital Equipment Corporation and Brandeis University.
